52.70 and 53.03 are beta drivers for Nvidia so if you want to try them, find it here http://download.guru3d.com/detonator/
But try them at your own risk and make sure you are using 2000/xp. I will take no responsibility for this, but i do use 53.03 forceware driver.

New Nvidia drivers are terrible IMO I had to reformat my PC last time to get it back to the default window's settings.

reformat why? just uninstall and use NFR(nasty file remover) to get rid of these drivers. i love the 53.03, great drivers, lower ps2 but faster. reflections aren't as murky or flashy. how did you ruin windows, you can repair with start, run , sfc /scannow

well its two things, one it could be that the two drivers conflicting, use NFR and you can download it here http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3233.html
When you remove nvidia drivers from add/remove, you can also make sure everything gets removed with this utility.

Number 2, are you sure it wasn't a virus, a lot of crap out there web hijacking and crap that recodes ie. use trend's housecall its free and it will detect viruses that norton can't. so many times this housecall antivirus caught a virus but norton couldn't detect. you can scan free here http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
After, one gets hit with virus, these things can recode some of your window system files hence some names end in sys.32. always repair windows after you delete a virus or if you have a backed up os on another partition ready to go. i would hate to reformat because i already have 80gb's full, 40 on each drive.

:? boo for the 53.03 drivers. well at least on my GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB

I have installed the older 45.23 drivers and my TV Fullscreen Overlay mode will finally display 800x600 again instead of the hideous vertically stretched (making objects look taller and thinner than they really are) 720x480.

You can view my struggle in the following post http://www.videocardforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=948#948

I hope nVidia addresses this issue in their next update

53.03 work fine on my 4600titanium, i love these drivers. yeah, stick with the 45.23 because i tried a resolution of 720x480 and is not possible on my tv or my second monitor. i hated the 45.23 because of the flicker problem but i got 6973 points on 3dmark03 with 45.23, wtih my 5900 ultra. i think the 45.33 are better.BTW, what kind of tv, do you have? i tried 720x480 both in clone and dualview but cannot even get there. My friend who is into capturing and making movies, i asked him about this and he said wow, 720x480, we tried both on his computer and tv as well as mine. lol, we couldn't figure it out.

who cares about the tv out now, i thought you fixed it. just asking what version you are using. personally, i don't like windows media player but it is good for the noob. even their plug ins imo suck. in fact, i hardly play video with any media players cuz quality sucks. i like dvd's on the tv set, component connection rules and all analog connecting on the computer is terrible. but digital g, if you want help with the tv out, send me a pm and who knows maybe the solution will be as easy a solution like bnieman's was in trying a different driver. try different drivers.

As for anybody else, i always try to stay ahead with drivers just for the fact of the new fixes in the new games that are out. Anybody play desert combat mod, the unresolved issue in 52.16 is now resolved in 53.03. in terms of the overclockers, anybody see a reduction in heat, i did as well a reduction in ps2. digital g off topic, these 5.1 cans are nice, seriously consider them. Bnieman, welcome to the forum and maybe you can help others with their tv out problem when they arise.
