Some questions with Firefox

I'm using Mozilla firefox and I have two questions.

1) Can firefox open/view .pdf files. When I click on a link that's a .pdf file, a new window opens up, says it's loading, then stops, leaving the page blank. And then modzilla moves all slow and crappy until I close that window

2) Chatting on another forum, I tried copy/paste some text, firstly I tried right click>> paste, but it turns out there's no paste
