Actually it's an 'all-around' oc guide, but they mostly talk about AMD's. lots of excellent illustrations, great for people like me who have this need to know exactly whats happening on the inside  this is one of the better, most comprehensive oc guides i've seen. enjoy!

there are newbie and advanced OC'ing sections in here as well

Getting aged i guess ill put a bandaid on it.

here is a list of current CPU's to buy

This was made for DFI boards but it is a great example of the 64bit CPU?s was a great help to me switching from Intel explaining the differences with the onboard memory controller. Also talkes all about overclocking A64 chips

After an overclock here is how I test for stability, im sure lots of other people will tell you differently but this is what I do.

1. I run SuperPI 32M (not the best stability test) but for me I have passed hours of prime when this failed in 7 mins.
2. Run PRIME95 I run it for 12-24HR's Duel instances(great for checking your MAX load temps)
3. Memtest86 After 1HR it will pick of most of the major problems but I suggest running it overnight just to be sure.
*ive noticed that SP2004 is a lot better then prime95 although its more/less the same program seems to pick up errors faster and is more user firendly.
Also OCCT is a quick 30 min test but is not as good as SP2004. My system past OCCT but failed SP2004 in 14 mins.

Building a new gaming rig on a budget? Here is what I suggest, keep in mind this is overclocking section of AMD.

CPU-Opteron 144 ($140) or 165 ($300) Duel vs. Single whatever is in your budget.
MOTHERBOARD-DFI Lanparty-UT NF4 Ultra-D ($120) or ASRock 939-SATA2 ($72) personally I would go with the DFI but again it is all about the budget.
MEMORY- best bang for the buck is the G.Skill 2GB DDR500 ($150) check for deals newegg always has specials on this memory. There is a lot better stuff out there but it?s a lot more about $300 for a nice set.
VIDEO CARD- best budget card right now is the 7900GT($300). Or ATI's X1800XT ($290) ..

Of course when overclocking you need a nice PSU. Lots of choices here I would stuck with OCZ, Seasonic or PC Power & Cooling. Here is a guide I would stick by to fit your budget.

Well the rest is up to you or you should have the rest already if you are rebuilding your rig.
