Very often I need to log in twice, and the "Log me on automatically each visit" checkbox never works. I have cant find any reason that this should happen, I have cookies enabled and everything.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Also, the "View posts since last visit" thing is buggy, never shows actually all posts since last visit, and post I make show up on it

Hmm.... we had the first issue once before but it was fixed & I don't see any reason why it wouln't be working now. :(

Any chance you cleared your cookies or something?

Try deleting all your temporary internet files & closing your browser.

GAH!!!!
lol, I used firebird for a while, but never bothered to upgrade to FF on my machine, and I cant do it on this one, at least not without permission (its not mine)
Besides, I distinctly recall someone saying that IE was best for forums.

Yeah IE is best for forums, but good God, FF owns it in almost every other way possible.

i still like IE  FF is good, but meh, with enough security i haven't had any probs with ie and don't have much reason to switch permanently

Try deleting all your temporary internet files & closing your browser.
This fixes it temporarily (as soon as I make a return visit, same old problem)

Odd.....
Have you tried screwing around with your security settings? Also, do you have a firewall @ all?

First, correction, that solution only worked that one time for some reason, tried it again, same prob.
Security settings are relatively low, though I can try again. Depending w/ comp I am using, I am behind Mcafee personal firewall, windows firewall, and a router's firewall.

Try FF...

it could very easily be all those firewalls.. you should never have more than one hardware, and one software firewall working at the same time. they cause problems. try disabling the windows firewall and see if it works.

Hmmm.... Norton has special settings you can set for each site if you like.. like stuff to allow referrers, cookies too I think? See if you can find anything like that for VCF!?
Also...... agree with what aclays said about running too many firewalls!

Did you see what I said about depends which comoputer I am on? I am always behind the router, and if i'm on this comp im behind mcafee, and if i'm on the other comp im behind windows firewall.
I will check out the norton settings

Holy... This is weird. When I come to the site, even though it says "log in", if I browse around for a short while, all of a sudden I am logged in!

Anyway, back on topic... On the old, 500mhz Win 98se comp that I use, the login issue persists. However, on the new, WinXP, 2.8ghz laptop, it is resolved somehow.
