They seem to be a common enough thing... How do they generally start? (or turn into a long distance rltnshp)
Someone moving away?

09-16-2005, 12:22 AM

I was in a relationship with a Mexican girl who lived in CA who I met over the net..... if I had the money at the time I woulda flew over there to see her; but didn't at the time..... anyways, obviously things didn't end up turning out... meh
Animegears
09-16-2005, 09:33 AM
Ehh...It's usually for the better when that happens anyways. There are a couple people that I have met onlilne that after awhile I have found out somet stuff about them that I didn't exactly care to know.

09-16-2005, 10:47 AM
i was just being sarcastic ag  yes viddy, most long distance relationships are formed by the two people meeting in the same area, and then one moving away. Not as many people get hooked up via the internet as we hear about  - and if they do, chances are they're 'hooked up' with more than one person ;)

Ahh don't worry about it... most of the mexican girls I know are either high maintainence(sp? :duh:) or really whiny after you get a little closer to them. (not saying that's what would've happened but I'm making an attempt at a brightside view of things)

Does anyone know what that means? I'm pretty sure its Latin.

Animegears

Pax Deorum
Latin & Irish Gaelic
Pax Deorum
Peace of the Gods
..domineo veniteo sacramentum (discesm) eodeo
domineo veniteo sacramentum (discesm) eodeo
domineo veniteo sacramentum(discesm)eodeo..
athair ar neamh dia linn..athair ar neamh dia liom
Omnem crede diem tibi diluxisse supremum.
Omnem crede diem tibi diluxisse supremum.
Father in Heaven, God bless us..
Father in Heaven, God bless me
Believe that each day which breaks is your last.
Believe that each day which breaks is your last.
(The object of Roman religion was to secure the cooperation, benevolence, and "peace" of the gods, hence "pax deorum".
This Latin may be divided to obtain "domine o venite o sacramentum (disces m)eo deo", which is difficult to translate and is questionable grammar. It may be intended to mean both "lord o come o sacrament by/from that god" and "lord o come o sacrament (you) learn of/from my god". The lyric doesn't seem to be duplicable in English.
The word "sacramentum" is a Latin word used to describe an oath. Later, it came to refer to a formal Christian rite, especially one considered to have been instituted by Jesus as a means of grace (often communion).
This Irish Gaelic is the same as the first two lines of "Athair ar Neamh".
This Latin is an exact quote from Horace's Epistles, Book I, Epistle IV, line 13. The whole sentence of which this is part (lines 12-14) reads:
Inter spem curamque, timores inter et iras
omnen crede diem tibi diluxisse supremem:
grata superveniet quae non sperabitur hora.
This means:
Amid the hope and worry, the fear and anger
believe that each day which breaks is your last:
the unhoped for hour will be a welcome surprise.)
