Currently Im using a Sappire X800XT PE and im using a waterblock to cool the GPU as well as OCZ copper ramsinks to cool my ram. I used ATITOOL to find the max of my OC and it was 603/615 (core/memory). If I use a 120mm fan (SilenX 58CFM) and place it right on top of the back of the video card covering the 4 ramsinks, as well as 80mm (SilenX 28cfm) fans blowing on the front r4 ams of the video card, and a 60mm fan (SilenX 18CFM) blowing on the side of my rams, approx how much more performance would I gain for the memory?? And lastly, how do u vmod your card to give it the extra boost. Thanks

Check this out for your fan placement:

Im assuming you have smaller RAM sinks so that fan placement might not be the best. For my 6800GT (its on watercooling w/ RAMsinks) I have a fan that sucks air from the bottom of the case and blows it directly on the card. You wont see a huge gain in your RAM oc, but its still a good idea because the ambient temps on your card can go down by about 5-8C if you add a fan.
Voltage modifications on ATi cards require resistor mods. That means soldering directly on the card. In some instances you can increase the voltage with a pencil mod, but they are pretty unreliable. There is no way to increase the voltage via software. Simply search google for "X800 XT voltage mod" youll find tons of guides on this.
I did the resistor mod for my old ATi 9800 Pro, the concepts are pretty much the same. I ended up with a core clock of 504 (32% increase), and that was on air. On watercooling you could see some great clocks with that X800XT if you voltmodded, I'd guess around 640-650, maybe even more.
Dont forget that there is a HUGE risk associated with voltage mods.

hmm thanks for your reply.. Ya actually I was looking at ViperJohn's results which gave me the idea of cooling my card better....Im still debating whether i should get fans and cool it or not since the performance gain may not be that significant (if any)....because right now, my ram is only at 615 and i believe it can go higher...
So when u vmod your video card, what does it do? Does it just add more voltage to it? If so, cant i just increase the voltage in the BIOS???? Im still a newb in ocing video cards
