These are some of my drawings some you have seen and others you haven't. Please feel free to critique them I would like to get better but since I don't go to a class I need pointers.

I really love some of your stuff AG... my fav is still definately that blue little guy you drew up... think you should do some more color ones like that; maybe some more charcacters or something..... :mrgreen:

Like that you tried a different concept with that 3D looking bike thingy..... like all the different tones to it, but think you could fine tune the wheels/tires a bit more.... seems like you concentrated less on those.

Btw.. check the album comments out... you have some it seems! :P

Awesome! Thanks GB I appreciate what you had to say. Yeah with the wheels on the bike I got kinda frustrated and rushed them :lol: Thanks for the comments guys! Oh and CCD the one that you said you liked was a sunset on the Nile. I drew it sitting on a cruise ship. :)

Just point out things that you notice could be improved. I don't care if you can do something better or worse than it. If you notice something that I can work on just say it. :P Especially if there is an inconsistancy between pictures. Like constantly unbalanced sides and such.

As for improvements....maybe make the characters on some of them non-animeish. Example, the demon picture. That picture is totally badass, but I think the spiked anime hair kinda throws it off a little bit.

The cruise was paid for by the government. It wasn't a fancy cruise. More like a boat ride with a bunk. We didn't pay a dime for it.

Yeah, since I never took an art class I learned by drawing what I could find. I was really big into anime at the time and decided to try and draw my favorite characters. So often times I will revert back to the spiked hair as it is easier for me to draw.

But I wholeheartedly agree with you that I should change that.

I never watched it. I saw some clips and looked through the graphic novels and decided it wasn't my style.

When I first saw the movie I had a few attempts at drawing the bike (it's such a cool bike). Didn't come out near as good as yours though Animegears.

They're all great, though the ones that stood out for me were the bike and the landscape/sunset one (the forth one).

What did you use to colour the CABlood picture?

:) Glad you liked them Duke. I love that bike from Akira. I so wish a company made them. But to color CABlood I used Photoshop 6.0. That's the best drawing I have ever done I think.

I know it's hard, but focus on trying to be cleaner with the lines. You're not sketching trees here.

Well I didn't do much to it. Can't honestly remember anymore what I had originally intended. But this is done for now. Maybe I'll tinker later but messing with this gave me some interesting ideas...

Maybe a ltittle lighter on the filters, makes it a bit tought to see. Needs a contrast/brightness tweak. Cool concept.

I wanted the marine to be hard to see but I agree that it should be a bit lighter on the Hell knights.
