Something happened yesterday that will a mark in my heart. As you all know, I have been wanting to OC my CPU for a while now, but couldn't. Yesterday, I downloaded a little tool called CPU Cool to change my FSB. I start it up, find a mobo close to mine. I click on "Get frequence" button. It displays my CPU and PCI frequencies. There are also a button "up" and a botton "down", change the values that I got. I click up and my PCI changes from 30.0 to 30.3. Note that the CPU doesn't change. I click up again and PCI changes to 30.0. I click again and it changes to 30.3. I'm thinking "What the hell!". I push "Set Frequency". System hangs. I push the power button to turn the PC off, wait for ten secs and turn it back on. Nothing. My screen is blank and says "No Input Signal', my PC is not loading or doing anything. I try to do some things to make it work. Nothing.

I bet this would not have happened if I had a clock changing option in my BIOS. Since I was so frustrated with the whole OCing, I was just clicking buttons like a mad man with really think9ing about the consiqences. I probably fried my mobo, rather than the CPU, but it is not that important. The damage was done to me.

I wish you more luck in overclocking in the future there dude! One day you'll prolly be an expert OC'er & you are just going through a "teething stage" atm! ;)

I posted it befor but i do it again. (makes me fell good anyways) :P

The reason it stoped working was because i increased the PCI/AGP clocks, so I wanted to try taking every PCI and AGP card out to see if it works. I remove all of my PCI and AGP cards. I plug my monitor into on-board video. Push the button, it loads windos like a charm. I go back to CPU Cool and reset my PCI clock back to 30.0. My computer hangs. I turn it off, put the cards back and plug my monitor into my 9600. Turn it on. Works ever since. :D
