Has anyone else ever played this? I just played a demo of the new 'thrones and patriots' version or whatever. It seemed like a cool game for the first hour.. but I could never win the freeking mission, It seemed like every time I went head to head w/ the computer, I lost all of my troops, and so did he, but I did little or no damage to his buildings.... Would be a really cool game If I had been able to end it.. I gave up after 2 hours of gameplay. Also, I couldn't figure out how to save.... maybe I couldn't save since it was a demo... any ideas?

Dude, RoN is the best RTS in my point of view. Just get a full version and try it out. There are a bunch of countries to choose from, great technological advances are availible for countries like Germany and Russia. Damn, you can even nuke people is you build a missle slo. Do I have to say anymore? ;)

I've kinda figured it out a little more now, I won a couple of skirmishes. It's an addicting game, pretty interesting. It can be a little much to keep up w/ though, but very realistic. Im impressed w/ it so far... might go buy it, but... doom3..... soon... !

Anyway, been playing the RoN demo a little more, I'm hooked.. Its a great game.

Yeah, the demo i have is for the x-pac. Im doing the alexander the great campaign. It's kinda tough, but fun. I love history too, so that makes this game even greater. Most of it seems relatively accurate.

Is there a WWII campaign? I'm a huge WWII fan, so maybe I'd try it for WWII.

TechDude

No, there is no WWII campaign. This game doesn't have campaigns by time period. You have to choose a country and firht other countries to rule the whole world, before the campaign time runs out. But you will get extra armies, cards, resources and tributes.

yeah, the campaigns seem pretty cool. I got a couple of turns into the Alexander the Great campaign before it told me to quit being cheap and buy the full version, because it wasn't going to let me go any further until I did. lol.
