I'm sick of cleaning up after spammers

Some new mod needs to be installed to keep these spammers out; I'm sick of having to delete their threads and not having the power to ban them. For phpBB there was something called "myVIPcode" basically all it did was ask for a 4 numbers to be entered into a new box on the signup page. In order to get the numbers, you had to be a human capable of reading the text above the mod that gave you the number. In fact, for extra security, you could have the text say something like "two five five 2" instead of 2552.

Most popular Captcha systems can be quickly beaten by spambot scripts.

maybe we should have a squad on here trained specifically to take down spammers.

Or a mod for the signup page to stop them. Like I said, myVIPcode is an extremely simple mod in concept and code, it would be easy to port over to vb for anyone familiar with it.
