Hey all.
I'm writing here because.. well.. It's a video card forum, and I have a video card question!
My current PC is a Gateway <something or other> and has an AMD Phenom Quad Core 2.2ghz Processor, 2x 500gb SATA hard drives, and currently has an ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 256mb video card. I'm having a very difficult time finding some full specs on that card. My colleague is selling 2x eVGA(brand) GeForce 7800 GTs 256 mb cards, with a SLI linking thingie for $100.
What I'm trying to figure out is whether or not its worth it to buy those two new cards, and replace me existing card with those two ? My common sense and basic computer background is telling me - "Two is better than one!" but if they're each much weaker than my current setup, I can't imagine much would be gained from the transaction.
Any thoughts/comments would be awesome, as I'm completely lost on this subject -- Ever since these PCI-e cards came out, I've no idea how to compare them.
Thanks!
