Athlin II X4 620 or Phenom II X4 925

I'm upgrading my rig to a tri monitor, 2 5770's in CrossfireX, 8 gb RAM setup and am iffy on the cpu. I want to save money but get optimal performance. My choices are the Athlon II X4 620, $100, or the Phenom II X4 925, $140. The Athlon is a quad core, 2.6 ghz, with 2mb L2 Cache. The phenom is also a quad core, 2.8ghz, with 2mb L2 cache + 6mb L3 cache.

I want to be able to play games like Crysis or Far Cry 2 at max res with several programs running in the background, a few internet tabs, and something downloading off steam. Even then, I would like the cpu to not bottleneck the gpu's at all. Which should I get?

the phenom of course. in fact i'm thinking about upgrading my e4400 to a amd machine. the cost of mobo+cpu+ram only came up to around 250. which is surprisingly cheap lol as for monitors you got anything in mind? i got my 2 lg W2361V for 150 each.

Okay. I already got one Viewsonic VA2223wm, so i'll be getting two more of those. Its got really nice color quality and contrast. The viewing angles are also perfect except if you look up at the screen from a significant angle(>45 degrees)

Just a little question, whats the best video card configuration that the Phenom II x4 925 doesn't bottleneck in 90% games? How future proof do you think this cpu will be gaming wise. Should I be able to keep it until atleast 2013, with a little bit of oc'ing in the last year?

it should last you long enough. you need to elaborate on the video card situation.

Thats why I asked whats the best video card config it could use and not bottleneck. But it will probably be by that time 2 5850's or 2 5870's or the equivalent 6000(?) series card.
